Kate Hull Romero

Ms. Kate Hull Romero, Co-Director of Dispute Resolution, has 15 years of experience assisting owners, contractors, and subcontractors on proactive and forensic engagements. Throughout her career, she has worked on more than 75 projects around the globe. Ms. Hull Romero consistently delivers excellent consulting services that inspire long-term relationships and repeat clients who appreciate the rapport and trust they have with her. Ms. Hull Romero specializes in guiding clients involved in complex construction-related disputes through the claims and litigation process. She serves as a testifying expert and performs analyses related to schedule delays, productivity impacts, changed work, and damages quantification. Ms. Hull Romero also provides clients with the necessary foresight and planning to meet their project goals. She offers risk identification and management, cost estimating, and critical path method (CPM) scheduling services on complex construction projects ranging from healthcare and residential mixed-use to U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) agencies with cost-loaded schedules and earned value management (EVM) requirements. Ms. Hull Romero is certified as a LEED Green Associate by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). She has served on the Education Board for AACE International (AACE) and the Board of Directors for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Ms. Hull Romero has also been awarded the Engineering News-Record Top 20 Under 40 Industry Professional, named a SWE Gulf Coast Region Emerging Leader, and honored as a SWE Distinguished New Engineer. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin Cockrell School of Engineering. Her master’s degree was in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Construction Engineering and Project Management, as well as a Certification from a Graduate Portfolio Program in Dispute Resolution. Her bachelor’s degree was in Architectural Engineering.
