Position Summary

Spire is seeking a Project Manager to assist with the execution of construction projects for Spire and their clients.   The Project Manager will coordinate and interact with owners, contractors, architects/engineers, and stakeholders, oversee project budget and change management, and monitor and mitigate potential construction claims for the project(s). 

Essential Functions

  • Manage one or multiple projects independently or with the support of an Assistant Project Manager depending on the size/scope of the project. 
  • Manage job assignments for Assistant Project Manager.
  • Reconcile project cost estimate with the project budget.
  • Review and approve all invoices and pay applications. 
  • Manage construction contract process including construction document preparation, request for proposals (RFPs) /bid invitation, and contract award process.  
  • Familiarity with various project delivery methods such as: Lump Sum, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), and Design Build, etc.  
  • Advise the Construction, A/E, and General Contractor teams on value engineering options.
  • Provide guidance for resolution of claims made by contractors against the Owner

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Proficiency in standard industry tools such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, MIS system such as PlanGrid/ProCore 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

REquired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or related discipline preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in Project Management
  • K-12 experience a plus
  • OSHA 10-Hour Training preferred
