The new $80 million Kadena Shopping Center is located at U.S. Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Prefecture. It is the second-largest shopping mall among U.S. military bases worldwide. The Kadena Shopping Complex was built to replace the existing mall, which was built in the 1950s. The new mall is much larger than the former one and second in size only to a military base shopping mall in Germany. On the second floor of the mall, patrons can choose to shop from clothing stores, music shops, electronic stores, high-end luxury stores, and a variety of restaurants.
