The Hyatt Regency Denver Convention Center Hotel is a 1,022,000 SF complex located in downtown Denver. The $355 million project includes 37 stories, 1,100 hotel rooms, and 60,600 SF of meeting space. The Hyatt Regency hotel complements the Denver Convention Center, situated opposite the hotel on California Street and 17th Street. The Center is built on the west edge of Denver’s panoramic downtown and offers picturesque views of the Rocky Mountains and the Platte Valley. This project included the renovation of its 451 guestrooms and suites, a gym, an indoor pool, sauna, improving cuisine at the Cafe Restaurant, and providing evening games at Garrity’s Sports Bar and Grill.
In supporting the Hyatt’s project, Spire’s construction management consultants provided forensic cost analysis and schedule delay evaluation services. Spire assisted the client by reviewing the schedule for any delays that may have occurred, assessing the standard of care, and providing litigation support.
While providing dispute resolution services, Spire reviews and analyzes contract requirements, change orders/change order requests, job cost reports, productivity data, and schedules. Spire evaluates the schedule integrity, identifies milestone slippage, and quantifies activity-level variances between the baseline schedule and the latest or most current schedule.
In all disputes, Spire Consulting Group is equipped to identify and evaluate the conduct and performance of all responsible parties in order to determine if the appropriate professional standard of care has been provided. While addressing concerns over whether the proper professional standard of care was given to a project, Spire provides continued support should a project require litigation services. Spire’s experts also specialize in analyzing construction delays and disruptions to identify liability, validate claims, quantify damages, and assist with resolving disputes. Spire employs critical path method (CPM) techniques to identify and quantify schedule delays using standard industry means and methods.
Whether you are an owner, program manager, contractor, architect, subcontractor, construction manager, or attorney, Spire’s consultants are equipped to provide the insight necessary to ensure the success of your litigation strategy.
