The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center facilitated a $2 billion capital program with Broaddus & Associates serving as project manager on several of the program’s design and construction contracts. The University of Texas MD Anderson Laboratory IV at the Science Park (which is now called the Virginia Harris Cockrell Cancer Research Center at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center) consists of a new 29,000 SF research laboratory building and upgrades to the site and infrastructure. Spire performed cost estimating services at the request of the program manager for Phase I of The University of Texas MD Anderson Smithville Laboratory Building IV project. The project features bio-science research laboratory facilities, including a vivarium, support, office, and meeting facilities. Spire’s estimate was used to validate costs provided by an outside contractor.
